Snowmobiling Up at Greystokes
Thanks to my more than generous neighbor James, I had the chance to go up to the Greystokes Provincial Park for a day of snowmobiling on Wednesday. I got stuck twice but came home in one piece (one very sore piece).
For those who haven’t been, Greystokes is located in Kelowna’s “Joe Rich” neighborhood, about a twenty minute drive from Rutland proper.
Although I learned a lot about how to handle a sled, I was most impacted by the amazing untouched scenery and the massive, well cared-for snowmobiling facility we have here in our own back yard. The Kelowna Snowmobile Club does an amazing job maintaining the park which includes seemingly endless trails and 3 nice cabins for emergency and day use. www.sledkelowna.ca

I have recently been to Greystokes and have throughly enjoyed snowmobiling there.
I am interested to know when the Kelowna Club is going to have their Poker Run, I would really enjoy participating .
It really is an amazing spot…
The Poker Run is Feb 21/2010 – check out http://sledkelowna.ca for info.
Thanks for visiting http://Rutlanders.ca – tell your friends!
i was watching snowmobiler tv today and saw greystokes on there. i was wondering how much snow there is there?
How is the snow condition at greystokes and wheres good place to hotel it??
I’m not a sledder myself, check out http://sledkelowna.ca and get in touch with the club – they maintain the facilities up there and would know for sure. As far as a hotel, anywhere close to the junction of Hwy 33 & 97 in Kelowna is a good bet (Marriot, Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, etc).
